Using Consensus as a Sales Tool Date: Apr 11 2024
Summary: When I have used Consensus the most is for Sales enablement and customers reviewing recordings and specialist areas of the product. Often someone is unable to attend our meeting or we need to include a global audience, so by being able to get our demonstrations across to a wider group AND track how they are interacting with that content is key to our sales process. This is a great product that our whole team use, and is absolutely essential to our sales process. Because it is a cloud solution and has capability to send content globally, as a global organisation ourselves this fits in perfectly with our requirements from a sales process.
Positive: This is a great tool that is absolutely essential to our sales process. We often share recordings and demo's so this is a great sales enablement tool to help with our customers. As an organisation we use this tool daily and it is key to communications between customers and prospective customers. Easy to use and capable of holding any videos and content that is crucial to send in an attractive format for our sales process. Having used the system for over 2 years, it has been key to how we share demonstrations to wider audiences, especially those that are global and require different time zones, so they are not able to attend the live version of the meeting or demo! Great product!
Negative: In general Consensus is great, it would be useful to have some more intuitive navigation around the product for users who haven't accessed the system before so they don't need training to come in and create content themselves. The tool is great for being able to send information to customers and prospective customers, and the analytics could be easier to access or supplied in a more data friendly format.

Summary: So far helpful, but could definitely use room for more customization. The customer service has been helpful with bugs encountered so far. Our integration with other sales tools has been fine but can still be a little inconsistent in what it delivers.
Positive: The tool is easy to use, has already helped us disseminate demos and closed deals faster. This helps since the nature of our software has broad application and use cases so we need to be in as many hands at once as possible for our deal cycles and this helps us get there.
Negative: Maybe it's just the tier of subscription my team uses, but I can't seem to customize demo boards I want to send to customers with demos already in our library. It would be nice to be able to quickly piece together single experiences so we could share a full story with a customer based on features they request to see.

Summary: Overall i really like using Consensus. I've been using it for about 3 years, i used to use Smart Links, previously Point Drive for Sales Navigator, but now i couldn't imagine using another product.
Positive: Easy to use, integrates well with Salesforce, easy to share lots of content with multiple contacts all at once.
Negative: The only negative point i can think of is how content looks when shared on social media.

Summary: Consensus is ideal to create customer faced demos because it helps has the feedback tab which allows is to collect user information as well as demolytics of users and their feedback. it is also suitable to vision or micro demos. It is also ideal for enablement and trainings, which reduces classroom type work shops time and cost while increasing the flexibility offered to students to follow sorted courses at their own timeline.
Positive: Consensus helps our organization in structuring customer demos while helping the prospects make streamlines decisions, fostering collaboration with transparency. Most uses of Consensus in our organization are customer facing personnel such as Customer Success managers, sales and also presales team members. Thanks to the scalable and flexible capabilities of Consensus , our teams are able to create unique and personalized demos. Consensus also acts as a repository where we can store demos and reuse the demos as demo boards. Further to these, Consensus also provides us with important demolytics which helps us in our sales life cycles and decision making. We also use Consensus as a collaborative tool for our teams. Over all it has been a helpful tool in our organizations digital selling initiatives.
Negative: Consensus might not be mostly suitable to upload lard scale technical demos as we have experienced it giving errors. Therefore with future enhancements I believe this more be a much more flexible and scalable product.
