Canix Reviews

Summary: Program needs some bugs fixed but overall could be very useful, I have also created Metrc Tags through Canix and it works great.

Positive: The idea of it pulling the correct information from your source package and having a premade template for everything you need.

Negative: It did not pull certain information over i.e Harvest Dates, it also wouldn't let you freely size text boxes which made the label look very standard. You also could not use a different font.

Summary: In the period we have used Canix, we would say that it is a great seed to sale system. It captures the essentials that a cannabis business would need to track and record their data. It is user friendly, which will greatly aid in training and make work efficient. Since they are just starting out in the Canadian market, some features are still being made to cater to their Canadian customers.

Positive: - Very convenient to use.
- Great support service.
- Interface and features are easy to learn and navigate, and they provide training.
- Flexible interface (you can easily edit and save the way you want to view your data).
- Provides a wide variety of customizable reports that you can generate.
- Allows you to setup your own recipes and processes.

Negative: Here are the cons in the period that we have used the system (Q2 2022):
- No medical sales portal yet. (still being built)
- CRA reporting and Excise duties (still being built)

Summary: Overall Canix is good but in some arias, I believe it can be improved on refreshing the same day and for making packaging.

Positive: Whenever we are creating invoices it's really straightforward, also for harvesting plants it works great.

Negative: Does not integrate well with Metrc or doesn't reload right away.

Summary: Overall, this is generations beyond running the several different databases need to accomplish comprehensive inventory. I cannot speak for the accounting functions, but production needs some definite tweaking. While we are unable to rely upon the data in the system, it does serve as a good broad sword for quick reporting.

Positive: This system is attempting to tackle the complicated relationship between raw flower goods, and the packaging materials required to make them retail ready finished goods. Having all of this in one place is huge.

Negative: Most processes perform a little clunky. There are hitches, such as returning packaging material to inventory if a finished goods tag is canceled etc. It seems there needs to be more real-world experience combined with developers to achieve what they are after.

Summary: Would like to see updates on new features, and smoothing over the features that don't work to get us to use them.

Positive: -Great customer service
-adding features as time goes on
-Invoicing works very well
-the printing labels feature works well with the addition of templates

Negative: - A lot of the features are either just Metrc features, or things that Metrc does better (plants, harvests, inventory[we actually still prefer excel, non-canna inventory works but we haven't rolled it out yet], and sales reporting tools could be better
- Sold on the mobile tagging feature, but unless you can do batch changes its worthless over anything more than a 200ct grow
-printing is still a little weird, the display and the printed copy do not match in the slightest - and so it takes a little trial and error to get it to look right. also setting up new computers with the printers is still a pain

Summary: Canix was quick and easy to use when it worked, but towards the end it became increasingly frustrating to use due to their issues with timing out and not being able to sync with METRC.

Positive: Very user-friendly, easy to search for things and customize, and much better than the previous program we were using.

Negative: Glitches, not syncing with METRC, timing out. Canix would save a METRC tag in "unsubmitted" if it timed out or couldn't sync with METRC, but the only action available in the unsubmitted tab was to delete the packages. Very unhelpful.
