FPS broadcast high quality converter. Yes it can upscale. Date: Jan 22 2024
Summary: Amazing product, allowed us to offer the best picture quality without added aliasing or frame recombination when broadcasting European sources in our North American broadcasts. Used in conjunction with Kronos, it is a wonderful tool to also keep the sync of your closed captioned material and all your audio tracks.
Positive: Quality conversion from European videos to North American broadcast formats without speeding or slowing the source. Keeps the included closed captions in sync. You can also do the reverse. Change of speed is applied also to the sound (25 to 23,976, 24 to 25fps...), absolutely great. It can also upscale your content, but no AI to improve the picture. It is not the strength of this software. But for regular broadcast works, it keeps the quality of the picture when your source is film content. Also very good results when video sources (interlaced) are used.
Negative: It takes some times to find the correct parameters. Render process is quite slow (90 minutes movie may take 4 to 5 hours, depending on your hardware). Created for broadcast users. Pricey.
