Affordable but buggy Date: Feb 09 2022
Summary: I wouldn't go back to it. Canva is a better way to design what I want for what I use it for. But if you can get it to run, it's a good product.
Positive: This is extremely versatile useful when it decides to work. The subscription is only about $20 a month, which is not bad at all.
Negative: Usually crashed or would recall a project and immediately say the project is unreachable.

The start to finish solution for any design that involves pages. Date: Jun 10 2020
Summary: I have designed sponsorship brochures and college magazines in InDesign, despite the learning curve, it's definitely better than using Photoshop for everything, especially with all the printing involved.
Positive: InDesign makes it very simple to handle multi page designs like user manuals, brochures, magazines etc. that have multiple sections with separate layouts and themes. Definitely a better tool than using Photoshop.
Negative: You're in for a frustrating experience of you're coming from Photoshop. InDesign is great but takes time to get used to.

All the tools required for magazine design combined into one Date: May 24 2020
Summary: I have used InDesign to create an entire college magazine and get it printed with the top most quality standards. It also integrates very well with other software in the Adobe suite like Photoshop and Illustrator. Overall an amazing tool despite being hard to get used to.
Positive: - Adobe InDesign makes a daunting task like magazine and digital layout design possible to be handled entirely by individuals.
- The number of resolutions, qualities and printing options supported is quite exhaustive.
- Adobe InDesign has a very rich community of designers and users teaching how to use the tool and sharing several insights making it easier for any designer to get started.Negative: - The layering feature is quite different from photoshop and causes a lot of confusion even to fairly experienced users.

The Gold Standard Date: Jul 19 2021
Summary: InDesign is my absolute gold standard, I use it for nearly everything. As a graphic designer in the education sector, a lot of my designs are applications, forms, pamphlets, flyers, booklets, etc. and InDesign has never let me down. It's easy to navigate through pages, the workspace isn't crowded or cluttered at all. Me + InDesign = 'til death do us part!
Positive: After using InDesign for 10+ years, I find it to be so intuitive. Continuous text boxes are so easy, the smart guide system is awesome, super easy to track down broken linked graphics.
Negative: Embarrassingly, it took me years to figure out that the reason my PDFs always saved with pixelated graphics was because of a compression setting in the Export window - it doesn't make a lot of sense to me that the default option would be majorly compressed. But that was kind of a personal problem/operator error!

Top of the line Date: Jun 06 2020
Summary: One of the best editing and design softwares I've used, definitely not going back to creating trifold pamphlets etc in Microsoft Word and struggling with horizontal layout + software limits on the margins. Also, so many different fonts and placement options without worrying about snapping to grid etc :o
Positive: I love how flexible InDesign is and the ease with which I can create polished marketing materials, whether for pitch decks, brochures, or promotional posters! InDesign plays well with other members of the Adobe Creative Suite too, so I can use Photoshop to touch up images from events, Illustrator to design vector logos, and bring it all together with InDesign.
Negative: With great power comes great responsibility! Or in this case, with great capabilities comes many different tools and buttons, lots to learn before fully mastering the advanced capabilities. Also, like lots of other Adobe software, the versioning is a bit terrible and you easily end up with multiple older versions on your computer :(
