Compare Wiring Atlas vs. ZipCert

Wiring Atlas serves as a comprehensive job management tool tailored for electrical contractors, beginning with a detailed map of each building that includes rooms, levels, panels, circuits, outlets, lights, and EV chargers. Each project is meticulously organized using this map, allowing for the documentation of the scope, inclusions, omissions, as well as tracking change orders along with their financial and schedule implications. Clients receive a detailed approval report that clearly indicates the location of each item, awaiting their signature, while your team is equipped with a job sheet that outlines numbered tasks, their respective rooms, and the corresponding circuits. Upon completion of the work, sign-offs are recorded, ensuring that the job's history remains associated with the building for future reference. Additionally, you can manage customer contacts and follow-ups, invite your team members with appropriate access levels, and easily export your records. The software is designed to operate seamlessly in a web browser and is compatible with tablets for on-site use. The service is available for free to one user managing up to three buildings, while the Pro version is offered at $39 monthly for up to three users, and the Team version can be accessed for $79 monthly, accommodating up to 15 users. This tiered pricing model allows flexibility for contractors depending on their team size and project needs.

ZipCert is a mobile-centric web application tailored for electricians in the UK, enabling them to generate electrical certificates and Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) directly on-site. This mobile-focused system is specifically designed to function seamlessly in environments where internet access may be limited, allowing for data synchronization once the device is back online. Targeted primarily at independent contractors and smaller electrical businesses, ZipCert allows users to complete necessary documentation from the job site, eliminating the need for a desktop-based approach or a more comprehensive job management system. While the application is centered around the creation of certificates, it does not claim affiliation with NICEIC or NAPIT or any related scheme memberships. Essentially, it serves to assist electrical professionals in efficiently preparing and organizing their certification records during their inspection and installation duties. In doing so, ZipCert enhances productivity and streamlines the certification process in a practical, user-friendly manner.
