Users can select diverse layouts tailored for each screen, and the integrated design tool enables the creation of custom configurations. Additionally, Snap It allows you to personalize themes for overlays and highlighted zones, along with offering adjustable options for window dragging. It features predefined layouts optimized for various setups, accommodating vertical or horizontal displays. Description
SnapState is a macOS utility designed for the menu bar that enables users to save and retrieve named desktop workspaces effortlessly. It captures the arrangement of windows, their sizes, the configuration of displays, the applications necessary to reopen a workspace, and all open tabs in browsers that support this feature. Users have the flexibility to restore their workspaces via the menu bar, a keyboard shortcut, or set automatic restoration for changes in display, layout matching, and after waking from sleep. The latest version, SnapState 2.7.2, is compatible with both Apple silicon and Intel Macs operating on macOS 15.7 or newer. It effectively manages window restorations across multiple Spaces and can seamlessly bring full-screen applications back to their original state. However, macOS organizes windows from the same application together during restoration, meaning SnapState cannot distribute an app's windows across different Spaces. To enable browser-tab access, users must grant Automation permission, while window placement requires Accessibility permission. Snapshots of workspaces are saved locally on the user's Mac, making it a practical tool for individuals who frequently switch between various work contexts, different displays, or specific app setups. By streamlining workspace management, SnapState enhances productivity for its users.
