Description
Same Energy serves as a visual search engine designed to help users find stunning artwork, photography, decorative ideas, and much more. Our philosophy centers around the idea that image searches should prioritize visual elements over text, and we aim to incorporate a profound visual comprehension that goes beyond merely identifying objects to encapsulate the artistic essence and overall atmosphere of an image. We aspire for Same Energy to inspire users with new styles they may want to explore further. At the heart of our search functionality lies deep learning technology, drawing parallels with the notable work CLIP developed by OpenAI. The homepage features default feeds that are curated through an algorithmic process: we initially select a handful of seed images manually, after which our system scans millions of images within our database to find suitable matches. Users can also generate their own feeds in a similar manner by saving images to compile a collection of seed pictures, subsequently viewing the recommended images based on their selections. As we continue to refine our offerings, we're actively contemplating the potential for this platform to evolve into a sustainable business model, enabling even more creative exploration.
Description
The VGG Image Search Engine (VISE) is an open-source software solution that enables visual searching through extensive image collections by utilizing image regions as queries. This software is crafted and sustained by the Visual Geometry Group (VGG) within the Department of Engineering Science at Oxford University. It is published under a license that permits limitless use in both academic research and commercial industries. To foster a dynamic open-source community around VISE, we actively invite contributions and participation in its ongoing development. Users can engage with the project by reporting bugs, enhancing documentation, introducing new functionalities, or refining existing ones through merge requests. The Visual Geometry Group commits to the continued development, maintenance, and support of VISE until at least November 2025. Furthermore, users are encouraged to share their questions or report any challenges they encounter with the VISE software via our GitLab issues portal, thereby helping us create a more robust platform.
