Description
VESPER Screenplay Formatter is an online tool designed for screenwriters and filmmakers who wish to convert plain text into a properly formatted screenplay. Users can easily paste scenes from a text editor or a Fountain-formatted draft and select between US Letter or A4 sizes, allowing for the automatic formatting of scene headings, action descriptions, character cues, dialogue, parentheticals, and transitions. This formatter adheres to established screenplay conventions, such as using Courier font, maintaining appropriate margins and indents, placing page numbers, and managing dialogue continuation. The final output can be saved as a PDF via the browser’s print dialog or downloaded in Final Draft (.fdx) format. This tool is freely accessible and does not require account creation, ensuring a hassle-free experience. Additionally, all text content remains within the browser and is neither stored nor transmitted elsewhere, providing users with peace of mind regarding their work. It’s worth noting that while pasted text is readily accepted, importing files from Word, PDF, or Final Draft formats is facilitated through VESPER's dedicated Courier editor, which operates separately from this formatting tool.
