Description
Frustrated with misplacing fleeting ideas, important snippets, or to-do items amid numerous open applications? Oxid Note is a macOS sticky note application that seamlessly hovers above your desktop environment.
Whether engaged in coding, writing, or conducting research, Oxid Note ensures that your vital context is always accessible right where you require it.
Reasons Mac users appreciate Oxid Note include:
Always-on-Top Floating Notes: Keep your multi-window sticky notes visible over any application or when in full-screen mode.
Focus Mode: This feature conceals the window chrome and controls while you are typing, allowing only your thoughts to be displayed on the screen.
Customizable Aesthetics: Adjust transparency, select custom colors, and choose typography to match your desktop environment perfectly.
Built in Rust for Mac: The app is ultra-lightweight and designed specifically for Apple Silicon, ensuring no RAM lag or drain on your battery.
Private & Offline: All your notes remain entirely on your device, eliminating any risk of cloud tracking and the need for mandatory accounts.
No Subscriptions: You make a one-time payment for lifetime access, ensuring you won’t be burdened with ongoing fees. Plus, with its user-friendly design, you can effortlessly organize and retrieve your notes whenever you need to.
Description
SnapState is a macOS utility designed for the menu bar that enables users to save and retrieve named desktop workspaces effortlessly. It captures the arrangement of windows, their sizes, the configuration of displays, the applications necessary to reopen a workspace, and all open tabs in browsers that support this feature. Users have the flexibility to restore their workspaces via the menu bar, a keyboard shortcut, or set automatic restoration for changes in display, layout matching, and after waking from sleep. The latest version, SnapState 2.7.2, is compatible with both Apple silicon and Intel Macs operating on macOS 15.7 or newer. It effectively manages window restorations across multiple Spaces and can seamlessly bring full-screen applications back to their original state. However, macOS organizes windows from the same application together during restoration, meaning SnapState cannot distribute an app's windows across different Spaces. To enable browser-tab access, users must grant Automation permission, while window placement requires Accessibility permission. Snapshots of workspaces are saved locally on the user's Mac, making it a practical tool for individuals who frequently switch between various work contexts, different displays, or specific app setups. By streamlining workspace management, SnapState enhances productivity for its users.
