Description
Orbit Meter Data Management (MDM) serves as a middleware platform that links data from meters via the AMI infrastructure and integrates it into the utility’s customer information system (CIS). Annually, Orbit MDM gathers more than 3.6 million raw AMI reads from a single meter, converting this data into visual representations and succinct summaries of customer usage. The robust data management capabilities of the MDM allow users to access both current and historical interval meter readings at intervals as short as every five minutes. This system is equipped to handle customer inquiries and monitor distribution assets like transformers and meters efficiently. Users can effortlessly manage various service types, including electricity, water, and gas, by simply selecting the corresponding tab. Additionally, modifying the displayed data for any given year, month, or day is straightforward within the Orbit MDM system. Furthermore, the platform offers compatibility with all major AMI vendor systems, ensuring a seamless integration experience for utilities. Overall, the versatility and functionality of Orbit MDM enhance operational efficiency and customer service for utility providers.
