Description

NotchPixel is a versatile utility for Windows desktops that introduces a customizable notch-style bar at the top of the screen, allowing users to access frequently used controls and status information in a compact format. This tool not only offers media playback controls along with synchronized lyrics, but also manages notifications, clipboard history, and provides a temporary shelf for files, as well as widgets, reminders, app shortcuts, and quick adjustments for volume, brightness, and Night light. Gamers can benefit from features that display FPS and system stats, capture screenshots and recordings, and monitor OBS and stream-chat interactions seamlessly. Additionally, it includes a local network transfer option that enables users to send files and text to their phones through QR codes. The interface is highly customizable, allowing modifications in appearance, position, hotkeys, and specific behaviors for different applications, while all settings and history are conveniently saved on the Windows PC. NotchPixel is specifically tailored for users of Windows 10 and 11, making it an ideal choice for gamers, streamers, and anyone seeking efficient desktop tools without the hassle of window switching. Furthermore, its user-friendly design enhances productivity by providing instant access to essential controls right at the user's fingertips.

Description

Sidekick enables users to link their Android devices with a Mac, allowing for seamless access to certain phone functionalities directly from the desktop interface. After a simple one-time pairing via a QR code, the companion applications establish a direct connection over the same local Wi-Fi network. Utilizing TLS 1.3 with certificate pinning, this connection does not rely on a cloud relay or user account for functionality. With Sidekick, users can mirror their phone's display onto a Mac window, receive and respond to notifications (when supported by the Android app), transfer photos and files in both directions, and share clipboard information effortlessly. Additionally, it provides caller notifications and allows users to initiate calls from the Mac, while keeping the audio on the phone, along with controls for media playback. Users also have the capability to reply to certain message notifications from their Mac. It's worth noting that screen sharing requires the Android device to approve each session initiated from the Mac. The software is compatible with Macs featuring Apple silicon that run macOS 11 or later, as well as Android devices operating on version 10 or higher. Presently, Sidekick is available in an invitation-only beta phase, offering a glimpse into its potential for enhancing productivity across devices.
