Description

MyRemoting provides remote access and IT support solutions tailored for IT teams, managed service providers, and system administrators overseeing Windows, macOS, and Linux environments. Users can operate through a web browser or a downloadable application to gain control over desktops, facilitate file transfers, initiate remote terminal sessions, manage processes, schedule Windows tasks, modify the Windows registry, and execute power actions. Additional features for fleet management encompass scripting, patch management, software installation, Wake-on-LAN capability, inventory management, health monitoring, alert notifications, session recordings, and access auditing. The control server offers flexibility by allowing self-hosting, vendor-hosted services, or installation as an air-gapped On-Prem edition. Connectivity leverages a WireGuard-based overlay with fallback support via relays. Security measures are robust, incorporating two-factor authentication, passkeys, defined roles, and permissions based on machine groups, ensuring that only authorized users can access critical systems. This comprehensive approach enhances operational efficiency and security for IT operations across diverse platforms.

Description

Terminal Tags is a utility designed for desktop window labeling, catering to individuals who manage multiple terminal or application windows simultaneously. This tool allows users to overlay a colored, labeled tag on a selected window, which can then be accessed via the menu bar or system tray to bring that specific window to the forefront. Users can initiate the tagging process using a global keyboard shortcut, select their desired window, assign a name, and personalize the tag's colors, shapes, and text size according to their preferences. The tagging feature is compatible with various applications, including terminal emulators, text editors, web browsers, and other desktop software. Terminal Tags is available as an installed application on macOS, Windows, and 64-bit Linux systems, though Linux users must be running an X11 session for proper functionality. Each tag remains active as long as its corresponding window is open; however, upon quitting the application or rebooting the system, users will need to reapply tags to their windows. The application stores tag data locally for ease of access. While it reads the geometry of windows and, specifically on macOS, their titles to position the overlays, it does not access any text content within the windows themselves. Additionally, Terminal Tags offers a standalone Pro license available for a one-time fee, alongside a free option for basic window tagging, allowing users to choose the best fit for their needs. This flexibility in options ensures that users can effectively manage their workspace, enhancing productivity.
