The 3D Creator app enables users to scan objects in three dimensions. In its most recent update, it features five distinct scanning options: selfie scan, face scan, head scan, food scan, and freeform scan. This app comes preinstalled on various Xperia models, including Xperia 1, Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact, Xperia XZ2, Xperia XZ2 Compact, Xperia XZ2 Premium, and Xperia XZ3. The initial step in the scanning process involves calibration, where the camera captures images as you slowly move around the item, while an algorithm identifies prominent features. Using the camera's position and the collected images, a rough point cloud is generated, which lacks color.
