MCOSMOS is a specialized metrology software suite developed by Mitutoyo, featuring a range of interconnected modules and dedicated expansion options compatible with Microsoft Windows operating systems 7, 8, 8.1, and 10, whether 32-bit or 64-bit. This software is accessible in 37 nations and supports 12 languages, establishing itself as the benchmark for metrology solutions worldwide. By facilitating seamless integration among a variety of applications, MCOSMOS enhances the functionality of your Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and boosts productivity within quality control operations. Rockhound, initially known as Smarts, is a versatile software platform crafted for the real-time acquisition of data from multiple digitizer streams, enabling critical data functions essential for end users. Its architecture is modular, allowing each component to connect in various innovative ways, enhancing its adaptability for different implementations. Built using Java, the Rockhound platform is compatible with a range of operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, various versions of Mac OS, and Linux. An optional Software Development Kit is also offered, empowering users to design custom modules that can seamlessly integrate with existing ones provided by Kinemetrics. This development kit allows for the creation of tailored solutions, including specialized functions for post-processing, data storage, notifications, triggering, and filtering, thus significantly expanding the platform’s capabilities. By leveraging these tools, users can optimize their data handling processes to better suit their specific needs.
