Merkantor is an e-commerce solution that you can set up on your own hosting environment, ensuring that both the files and the database reside on your server. It operates on PHP 8.3 or higher and is compatible with MySQL or MariaDB; even standard shared hosting is sufficient, and there's no need for SSH, Composer, or Cron. The installation process includes a server compatibility check prior to setup.
Updates are delivered as signed packages, with an initial backup performed; if any issues arise during the update, the process can be reversed. Users can manage products, including variants, stock levels, SKUs, and VAT calculations, all from a unified admin panel, which features an AI assistant to help generate product descriptions (note that provider fees are additional).
Real payment tests have been conducted with Stripe and iyzico, while support for PayPal, PayTR, bank transfers, and cash on delivery options is also included. The software offers shipping solutions, e-invoicing capabilities, and legal templates specifically designed for Turkey.
