Description

IBM Spectrum Virtualize™ and IBM Spectrum Virtualize™ for Public Cloud enable seamless mirroring between on-premises and cloud data centers, as well as between different cloud data centers. You can effortlessly transfer data between on-premises facilities and public cloud environments or across various public cloud platforms. This solution provides a uniform approach to data management, ensuring consistency across on-premises storage and public cloud resources. By integrating with existing on-premises software, you can replicate or migrate data from a vast array of over 500 supported storage systems, allowing you to enhance your hybrid cloud capabilities without incurring significant new expenses. With a flexible monthly pricing model, you only pay for the storage capacity you utilize in the public cloud. Additionally, you can implement effective disaster recovery strategies that span both on-premises and public cloud data centers. Furthermore, the solution facilitates cloud-based DevOps by simplifying the replication of data from local sources, streamlining development and operational processes. This integrated approach not only enhances efficiency but also supports innovation in data management practices.

Description

Phillux serves as a powerful virtualization platform tailored for managing your own servers, capable of overseeing both virtual machines and LXC containers, alongside features such as storage management, image handling, virtual networking, snapshots, cloning, backups, and a dedicated firewall for each guest, all manageable from a single host or a compact cluster equipped with shared OCFS2 storage and the ability to live migrate running virtual machines. Windows 11 guests benefit from automatic UEFI, Secure Boot, and a virtual TPM 2.0, allowing for seamless unattended installations, while Linux guests can effortlessly boot from pre-configured cloud images using cloud-init, and existing virtual machines can be imported from platforms like VMware ESXi or Proxmox. The innovative firewall operates at the network device level for each guest, ensuring that misconfigured rules cannot inadvertently lock you out of the system, while a ransomware prevention feature monitors file writes beneath the guest environment and pauses the machine if it detects unusual activity, thereby preserving the encryption key in a safe state for potential recovery. Each function of the platform is accessible through a well-documented REST endpoint, and it runs on Debian 13, following a per-CPU socket licensing model, ensuring that your data remains securely on your hardware without any reliance on cloud services or telemetry. This commitment to privacy and performance makes Phillux an ideal choice for those seeking robust virtualization solutions.
