Description
Feedovate is an innovative platform designed for customer feedback that empowers startups and SaaS teams to efficiently gather, manage, and prioritize feature requests all in one centralized location. Users can collect feedback via public or private boards, embedded widgets, and guest contributions, enabling customers to vote on and discuss the ideas they care about most. Keep your audience updated by sharing your product roadmap and publishing changelogs, ensuring they stay informed as features transition from the planning stage to completion.
Engineered for simplicity and user-friendliness, Feedovate seamlessly integrates feedback boards, feature voting, roadmaps, changelogs, AI-driven categorization, custom branding, moderation features, and various integrations into a single cohesive platform. This makes it an ideal solution for indie hackers, startups, and expanding SaaS companies looking to create products that meet the true desires of their customers while avoiding the cumbersome nature of traditional enterprise tools. In this way, Feedovate not only enhances user engagement but also fosters a collaborative environment where feedback is valued and acted upon.
Description
When users report a sponsor occurrence through the extension, it cleverly utilizes a privacy-focused query system to automatically bypass known sponsors. Additionally, it offers functionality to skip other content types, including intros, outros, and subscription reminders, allowing users to jump directly to highlighted segments. To ensure that a single heavily voted submission doesn't dominate, I implemented a weighted random distribution based on a specific formula, which prioritizes early votes significantly more than those on submissions that are already popular. This approach enhances the likelihood that newer submissions will be presented to users for voting, promoting a diverse range of content visibility. As a result, while the majority of users encounter the top-rated submissions, a select few will be exposed to less popular entries, giving those submissions an opportunity for upvotes or downvotes. This method not only democratizes the voting process but also encourages engagement with a variety of content.
