MuchSkills replaces that with a live inventory of capability. Employees own their profile and rate each skill on a patented nine-level scale built to be quick and honest, so a profile takes 15 to 30 minutes rather than an afternoon. Managers validate, and the picture updates as people learn instead of once a year.
From there: gap analysis by role, team, department or tag, shown as heatmaps and filtered lists; project staffing that searches skills, certifications and genuine availability at the same time; certification records with proof files, expiry alerts and a complete change history of every add, edit and removal; utilisation reporting for bench time and roll-off; and development goals tied to gaps the organisation has actually measured.
The taxonomy ships with 20,000 industry-specific skills, more than 12,000 technical skills and over 9,400 certifications, and you can extend it with your own. Native integrations cover SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, BambooHR, HiBob, Personio, Dayforce and CatalystOne, with Skillsoft Percipio and Udemy for learning content, single sign-on through Microsoft Entra, and a documented API. Every plan includes skills mapping, gap analysis, development goals and reporting. Certification tracking, Team Builder, utilisation reporting and CV Inventory are added depending on what you need. Professional onboarding covers taxonomy design, configuration and training, and is recommended for larger rollouts. There is no free version.
