When utilizing the CodeAssist plugin or extension, the code you are working on is transmitted to the CodeAssist API for processing, which results in a response that may include either code modifications or messages. At present, this processed code is not retained on the server, and any updates regarding this policy will be communicated to you. If you choose not to employ the "Complete" feature, which can be accessed via the ALT+X shortcut, only the currently open file in the editor will be processed; however, activating the "Complete" feature allows the API to consider additional files within your codebase. To generate the response, CodeAssist forwards the code to the OpenAI API, which retains this information for a duration of one month to ensure the provision and maintenance of their services, adherence to legal obligations, and the enforcement of their policies. It's important to note that OpenAI does not utilize your code for enhancing their services or for the training of their models, ensuring the confidentiality of your work. Furthermore, you can rest assured that your code will not be used in any way that compromises your privacy or security.
