Glipper serves as a clipboard manager tailored for the GNOME desktop environment, allowing users to keep a log of text copied to their clipboard for easy retrieval. Unlike earlier iterations that operated as a GNOME applet, the latest version employs an app indicator to offer support for both Ubuntu Unity and the Gnome Classic interface. Glipper is frequently likened to KDE's Klipper as its counterpart within GNOME. While earlier versions allowed operation outside of GNOME, the current version 1.0 is exclusively for GNOME due to its deep integration with its features.
