Description
The Braceworks® add-on for Vectorworks Spotlight offers design, production, and rigging experts a streamlined method to assess the performance of temporary structures when subjected to loads. This innovative module prioritizes safety and adherence to engineering regulations, facilitating a fully integrated process for modeling, analysis, and documentation all within a single interface. With regulatory demands like the Eurocodes and the rising expectations of venues, municipalities, and property owners, event design, A/V, and rigging firms are increasingly required to provide load and structural calculations for approval by structural engineers. Users can perform static analyses and finite element method (FEM) evaluations, with results visually represented on the model for straightforward interpretation. Furthermore, it allows for the automatic creation of comprehensive calculation reports, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in the documentation process. By simplifying these complex tasks, the module ultimately supports professionals in delivering safe and compliant events.
Description
VABS is a widely-used tool for cross-sectional analysis that allows for rapid and straightforward computation of beam characteristics and the recovery of 3D fields in composite beams, such as those found in helicopter and wind turbine blades. It stands out as the sole tool that can effectively decouple an intricate 3D slender solid with a detailed microstructure into a fundamental engineering beam model. Originating from the aerospace sector, AnalySwift has developed tools specifically for composite beams including helicopter rotor blades, propellers, high aspect ratio wings, and wing section designs, in addition to plates, shells, and 3D structures. With several years of application in the wind turbine industry, VABS consistently provides swift and precise results for wind turbine blade modeling. Furthermore, SwiftComp extends its capabilities to offer solutions for plates, shells, and 3D composite structures. As the automotive industry increasingly incorporates composites into vehicle design, there is a growing potential to utilize both SwiftComp and VABS for modeling a diverse range of structural forms, such as beams, plates, and shells, thereby expanding their applicability. The versatility of these tools makes them invaluable across multiple engineering disciplines.
