Description
BentStudio serves as an online platform for designing timber and log structures, catering to various projects ranging from small garden sheds and pergolas to larger cabins, workshops, and timber barns.
- Create your design: begin with a choice of timber-frame, post-and-beam, or dovetail log-wall configurations. Adjust measurements, sections, roof shapes, trusses, dormers, and lean-tos while the model reflects your changes in real time.
- Review your project: seamlessly transition between 3D views, floor plans, and elevation sketches. Examine details closely, focusing on joints, notches, supports, and individual components.
- Prepare for construction: save different versions of your project and generate a PDF drawing package complete with timber lists, cutting coordinates, and a modifiable project file.
Accessible through a desktop browser, BentStudio also offers an offline HTML download option. The cost is a one-time payment of CAD $199 for a single Studio license, with no recurring fees involved.
It’s important to note that BentStudio functions solely as a design and layout tool, rather than a structural engineering service. This makes it an ideal choice for creatives looking to bring their timber building visions to life without the complexities of engineering calculations.
Description
Advance Design serves as a robust and user-friendly FEM Structural Analysis tool specifically tailored for structural engineers working within a BIM ecosystem. It adeptly handles the design of various structures, accommodating different load types while integrating concrete, timber, and steel components seamlessly. With compliance to significant code standards, including Eurocodes and North American guidelines, Advance Design elevates the BIM experience significantly. It fosters intelligent, model-driven workflows that benefit engineers and construction professionals alike. By functioning as a BIM platform, it ensures the preservation of geometric and analytical data throughout the design process via smooth model transfers. Furthermore, analysis outcomes are preserved within the Digital Model and contribute meaningfully to the BIM workflow. For example, these results can facilitate the initiation of rebar designs or steel connection processes directly within Revit, creating innovative opportunities in structural design. With its powerful capabilities, user-friendly interface, and full compatibility with Revit®, Advance Design is backed by a dedicated team of experts and offers a flexible licensing structure to accommodate diverse user needs. This combination of features makes it an essential tool for modern structural engineering.
