Description

Basecut is a desktop application specifically designed for wedding and event videographers who utilize multiple cameras, enabling them to efficiently sift through a plethora of clips before beginning the editing process. This software operates directly on the user's Mac or Windows computer, with default processing conducted on the device itself. The application analyzes an entire card dump in one go, identifying and flagging blurry images, duplicates, and clips with poor audio quality while categorizing the remaining footage into groups such as heroes, keepers, maybes, and skips, thus guiding the editor on which clips to prioritize. It supports log footage from leading camera brands like Canon, Sony, Panasonic, DJI, GoPro, ARRI, and Blackmagic, applying appropriate color correction from per-camera log to Rec.709 and ensuring consistent color matching across all cameras used during the shoot. The result is an organized bin structure featuring pre-applied grades, which is provided as a DaVinci Resolve project or exported as FCPXML, ALE, or EDL formats compatible with Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro. This streamlined workflow ultimately saves editors significant time and effort, allowing them to focus on the creative aspects of their work.

Description

Choose one or multiple video files, and we will handle the AI transcription for you while eliminating any undesirable segments. Afterward, you can examine the edited version of your video and make additional adjustments by either cutting text or trimming clips from the timeline. If you're using Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve, you can easily export an XML file from Gling and import it as a timeline. Not using one of those editors? No problem at all; you can simply export your video from Gling in mp4 format and bring it into any video editing software of your choice. This flexibility ensures that you can work seamlessly with your preferred tools while enhancing your project's overall quality.
