Description
Back-to-One serves as a comprehensive tool for directors and cinematographers in the film and television industry, designed for use on iPads and Macs.
It allows users to arrange actors, cameras, lights, and walls on a top-down interface, and from this configuration, the application produces a detailed shot list, an animated representation of the blocking, and a viewfinder preview based on actual sensor sizes and focal lengths across six formats, including anamorphic. The synchronization between the canvas and the shot list works bidirectionally, ensuring that any changes are reflected in real-time.
The shot list is organized by camera setup instead of by scene, allowing for a more intuitive workflow that aligns with the actual shooting order. Each shot includes a time estimate, along with cumulative totals for each setup and overall for the day. On set, shots can be marked as complete in real-time, and the app features dim and red-light modes to enhance visibility in low-light environments.
Users can import their screenplays in FDX or PDF formats, automatically generating a project that includes all scenes and characters. Additionally, the app allows for the export of set PDFs tailored to each camera position, as well as call sheets, lighting diagrams, and the shot list in various formats like PDF, Excel, or CSV, providing a comprehensive solution for pre-production and on-set organization. This functionality ensures that directors and cinematographers can focus on creativity while managing the logistical aspects of their production seamlessly.
Description
ScriptLix offers screenwriters complimentary coverage on their screenplay in approximately twenty seconds; simply paste a scene or upload a draft in formats like PDF, FDX, or Fountain to receive a score from 1 to 100, insights on what is effective, and initial recommendations for improvement, all without the need for an account. Additionally, you can rewrite your script using Studio, a no-cost screenplay editor available in your browser that automatically formats your work as you write, generates outlines from your scenes, functions offline, and allows for exports in both page-accurate PDF and FDX formats. An AI assistant named Script Buddy is readily accessible for providing feedback on specific scenes or dialogue with just a keystroke, and you can rescore your screenplay after each revision to assess the effectiveness of your changes. Furthermore, ScriptLix includes a plethora of over 100 free screenwriting resources, such as a format checker, tools for converting FDX to PDF, word count calculators, name generators, and templates for loglines and structure, along with a new Scene of the Day feature and the option for a comprehensive deep coverage report available for $29 when you desire an in-depth evaluation. Notably, your script will never be used to train any models, ensuring your work remains entirely yours.
