CadVex is manufacturing estimating and quoting software designed specifically for CNC machine shops. Users can upload STEP files and supporting drawings, after which CadVex analyzes the geometry to identify manufacturable features, operations, and assumptions that contribute to the estimated cost. The resulting cost analysis provides editable details covering material and stock, scrap assumptions, setup and programming, machining operations, finishing, marking, inspection, outside operations, and other production requirements. Estimators can apply their own shop rates, batch sizes, cycle assumptions, quantity effects, margins, and commercial inputs while keeping the underlying manufacturing estimate visible. Built-in DFM analysis connects manufacturability findings to specific areas of the 3D model and provides information about their potential manufacturing impact and suggested changes.
