Description
Predicting and modeling spatial phenomena through real-world observations can often be challenging and impractical. The ArcGIS Geostatistical Analyst tool enables the creation of optimal surfaces derived from sample data, facilitating improved decision-making through the evaluation of predictions. This functionality proves particularly beneficial for various fields such as atmospheric data analysis, exploration in petroleum and mining, environmental assessments, precision agriculture, as well as fish and wildlife research. Equipped with a collection of interactive tools, the ArcGIS Geostatistical Analyst extension allows users to visually explore their data prior to conducting a thorough analysis. In cases where data may be incomplete or contain errors, this tool offers a probabilistic framework that helps quantify uncertainties effectively. Users can generate multiple surface versions to conduct comprehensive risk analyses. Additionally, geostatistical simulation generates a range of surfaces that replicate the actual phenomenon and present possible value outcomes, enhancing the robustness of spatial analysis. By leveraging these capabilities, users can make more informed decisions based on a clearer understanding of the data uncertainties involved.
Description
EQuIS™ EnviroInsite is a powerful software tool designed for environmental professionals such as hydrogeologists, environmental scientists, and engineers to visualize data effectively. Users can create intricate site maps utilizing various image formats and vector files, while also visualizing environmental data in both two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) formats. The software allows for the generation of tailored boring logs and strip logs, as well as the analysis of stratigraphy through cross-sections and complex geological models in 2D or 3D. In addition to evaluating geochemistry, it provides the capability to conduct extensive statistical analyses and prepare customized graphics for reports that can be exported in formats like PDF, CAD, or GIS. A notable feature of EnviroInsite is its direct connection to EQuIS databases, which streamlines data access without requiring any cumbersome data transfers or restructuring. Furthermore, users can access Esri’s ArcGIS Online Map service or Microsoft’s Bing Maps service to obtain base map images such as aerial photos and road maps. As a Web Mapping Service (WMS) client, EnviroInsite can also fetch aerial images and other mapped data from numerous public WMS servers seamlessly, enhancing the user experience and expanding the range of accessible visual data. This integration and versatility make EnviroInsite an invaluable resource in the field of environmental data analysis and presentation.
