Description
Amazon Macie is an entirely managed service focused on data security and privacy that leverages machine learning and pattern recognition to locate and safeguard sensitive information within AWS.
As organizations grapple with the increasing amounts of data they generate, the task of identifying and securing sensitive information can become more complex, costly, and labor-intensive. By automating the process of discovering sensitive data at scale, Amazon Macie helps reduce the financial burden associated with data protection. It generates an inventory of Amazon S3 buckets, highlighting unencrypted buckets, those that are publicly accessible, and those shared with AWS accounts outside your designated AWS Organizations. Additionally, Macie utilizes machine learning and pattern matching methods on the selected buckets to pinpoint and notify you about sensitive data, including personally identifiable information (PII), ensuring that your organization remains compliant and secure. Furthermore, by streamlining this process, Macie enables businesses to focus more on their core operations while maintaining robust data security practices.
Description
Rocket streamlines the process of collecting forensic data from iPhones and computers over the internet. The evidence files collected are seamlessly and automatically sent to either your data center or an AWS S3 bucket. Remote custodians can easily access data collection on-demand, eliminating the need for blank hard drives, specialized forensic tools, remote connections, or in-person visits. Each data collection—whether conducted in the lab, on-site, or remotely—is automatically organized and cataloged into your case by Rocket. Users can log in to a unified dashboard to view real-time updates and the progress of any collection. Additionally, the Rocket dashboard can be enhanced with case management features that allow you to oversee teams, manage tasks, track billable hours, generate client invoices, and monitor deliverables. Rocket ensures that remote data from iPhones and computers is preserved directly to your AWS S3 bucket or data center with ease. By using Rocket, you receive preserved evidence files more quickly, eliminating the hassle of shipping collection kits altogether, and thereby significantly enhancing your forensic data management capabilities.
