PrusaSlicer is an advanced slicing software that we developed in-house, building upon the foundation of the open-source Slic3r project. This robust, frequently updated tool is completely free and open-source, designed to provide everything necessary for generating optimal print files for your original Prusa 3D printer. It stems from the work of Alessandro Ranellucci on Slic3r, and with the backing of a dedicated community and the core development team at Prusa Research, we continuously enhance its capabilities. You can keep track of ongoing developments through our Github page. One of the standout features allows users to paint custom supports directly onto their models, as well as block supports that the software generates in specific areas. Additionally, users can employ custom mesh designs to serve as support blockers or enforcers, ensuring that all adjustments are saved within the project file and remain easily customizable.
