Description
AWS RoboMaker is a cloud-based simulation platform designed to support robotics developers by allowing them to efficiently run, scale, and automate simulations without the need to manage infrastructure themselves. This service provides a cost-effective approach for scaling simulation workloads and supports large-scale, parallel simulations through a single API call, while also enabling the creation of user-defined, randomized 3D virtual environments tailored to specific needs. Developers can enhance their workflows by conducting automated regression testing as part of continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, as well as train reinforcement learning models through numerous iterative trials. Furthermore, the platform facilitates the connection of multiple concurrent simulations to fleet management software, ensuring thorough and comprehensive testing processes. Integrating seamlessly with AWS machine learning, monitoring, and analytics services, AWS RoboMaker empowers robots to effectively stream data, navigate their surroundings, communicate, understand various inputs, and continuously learn. This integration not only enhances the capabilities of robots but also streamlines the overall development process, ultimately leading to more efficient and innovative robotic solutions.
Description
Path2 is an innovative tool designed for creating robot cell layouts and programming offline, specifically tailored for robot programmers, control engineers, integrators, and manufacturers utilizing KUKA robots. Users can design intricate 3D cells featuring configurable pallets, conveyors, fencing, and pedestals, while choosing from a diverse range of 20 KUKA models that support payloads from 20 to 800 kg, and visually set Home, Pick, and Place positions directly on the interface. The cell builder efficiently computes pallet layers and can export KUKA KRL .SRC/.DAT programs for ease of use. Additionally, a dedicated generator for palletizing and depalletizing tasks produces KUKA KRL or ABB RAPID files, complete with support for separator sheets. A comprehensive test on a KUKA KR 210 R2700 extra demonstrated the capability to achieve a running cycle just 19 minutes after establishing a basic layout, all without the need for hand-written KRL scripts or positions taught by a pendant. Users can access cell design and a sample KRL setup for free, while customized program exports are available for £149 each. This browser-based application operates without the need for installation or a simulation license, making it easily accessible. However, it is important to note that generated programs must undergo commissioning and site-specific validation to ensure optimal performance.
